Ashley, who is a double D cup, revealed that the trick was to actual go down a size in your bra band in order to keep your breasts secure.

Captioning her snap she wrote: “PRO TIP: the trick to a strapless bra if you’re over a DD cup is keeping your cup size the same but going down a size in the band (RN I’m a 38DDD so I wear a 36DDD for my strapless bras to keep the girls up).”

Her photo has since amassed more almost 500,000 likes and thousands of comments from grateful fans.

One wrote: “I always have a hard time with strapless, thanks for the tip!!!”

She recommends going down a size on your bra band in order to “keep the girls up”

“Thank you for the tip because I’m a DD girl and I couldn’t keep them up for the life of me” said another.

While a third commented: “Thank you for the tip! I always shy away from strapless or spaghetti-strap items for that exact reason!”

HOW CAN YOU TELL IF YOU ARE WEARING THE WRONG BRA SIZE?

There are many tell-tale signs that you are wearing the wrong size bra.

It is estimated that most women are wearing one that is far too small for their bust.

Here are the signs to look out for:

  • The straps keep falling down
  • Your bust spills out over the top, sides or bottom
  • The fabric on the cups does not sit right
  • You wear your bra on the last hook on the back
  • The bra straps cause dents in your shoulders
  • The band starts to ride up your back
  • The underwire in the bra pokes into your skin
  • You suffer from neck and back pain because of your bust.

And for larger chested ladies looking for an outfit to suit their figure, we previously told you how ASOS is selling clothes made for women with big boobs – and shoppers are delighted.

Meanwhile, big-boobed girls claim that ASOS’ £8 triangle bra is “life-changing” and “so damn comfy.”

But this woman was far from impressed with her £1.99 plastic bra that squashed her nipples and snapped off in under a minute.
