CORRIE’s Alan Halsall has revealed he feels pressured to pop the question to former co-star girlfriend Tisha Merry.
The actor, 37, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the Weatherfield-set soap, revealed that fans have put the heat on him to get down on one knee.
He told the Mirror: “The pressure is there from day one but we’ve not been together that long, so I think we’ll just enjoy ourselves for now.”
Alan, who has been dating Tisha, 27, since the beginning of the year, revealed how things are going between the pair as they stepped out to Nickelodeon’s Slimefest in Blackpool at the weekend.
Alan said of Tisha, who played Steph Britton on the soap from 2013-2018: “It’s great, she’s a wonderful girl and I’m really happy.”
Alan attended the event with daughter Sienna, 6, who he shares with ex wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, Tisha and Tisha’s sister Alissa.
And he joked that his real life daughter is a “dream” compared to his on-screen daughter Hope Stape, who has been acting out a lot of late.
He revealed: “We’ve just filmed Christmas this week so there’s obviously trouble over Christmas and we’ve got trouble with the eldest daughter, so it’ll be a fun family occasion, it never turns out that way.
“Sienna is an absolute dream by comparison, she’s brilliant, no setting fires or anything, it’s great, it’s dead easy.”
Alan has previously revealed that he undergoes beauty treatments to try and look young for his younger girlfriend.
The actor posted a picture on his Instagram Stories while undergoing a spa treatment.
The post showed a close-up picture of the star wearing a set of under-eye patches, which reduce puffiness and dark circles.
He captioned the picture: “The s**t ya have to do when your girlfriends 10 years younger than you!! @missdrewmerry93”.
Alan recently moved Tisha into the £750,000 dream home he built with ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson.
Steph is now living full-time in in his lavish five-bedroom pad.
A source revealed: “Tisha is keeping her place on for now but she’s living at Alan’s place full time.
“She has been so good for him and really made him smile again. They are very similar and love to work out together so they have lots of the same interests and Sienna adores her.”
