DUBLIN Fire Brigade had to cut a person from a car following a collision which happened this morning on Dorset Street.
They added that one person had been hospitalised following the crash but that their injuries are “non-life threatening”.

A spokesperson said: “Firefighter/Paramedics from Phibsborough and HQ extricated a patient from a car following a two car RTC on Dorset Street early this morning.
“The car was a hybrid which provides extra challenges when cutting. One to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”
Some followers grew nervous when the fire brigade mentioned that the hybrid provided ‘extra challenges’ when cutting.
However a spokesperson reassured: “Some extra precautions to be taken around batteries and cabling, nothing that our Firefighters can’t deal with.”
The firefighter were rushed to the scene of a separate incident where a car flipped upside down in Dublin.
The single-vehicle crash happened near Balbriggan and the fire brigade share the shocking images on their Twitter feed.

They also revealed that the car’s seatbelts were what saved the occupants of the car from any serious injuries.
A spokesperson said: “Our #Balbriggan retained crew extricated two patients trapped in this car following a single vehicle roll-over RTC near the town.
“Seatbelts most certainly prevented the occupants from being ejected from the vehicle and causing serious injuries.”
