Police confirmed there was no third party involvement in her death after a post-mortem examination was carried out.

Officers were scrambled to the £500,000 family home on Tuesday at around 6.15am where they discovered Marie’s body.

Locals have described Mrs Nash as a “hardworking” mother to four children aged between nine years and 20 years.

One said she worked “long hours” in advertising and was a “hard-working, really lovely woman”.

Sue Tarrant who lives opposite the murder scene in Hyde Green, watched as the horror unfolded.

She said: “It is not something that happens in this area. The fact they have four children, it’s absolutely terrible.”

Police removed the body from the hours shortly before 3pm on Tuesday.

As the body was being taken away, a neighbour from two doors down placed a bunch of flowers and a card at the end of the drive.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “The post mortem examination concluded today (Wed) that there was no evidence of third party involvement. A full coronial investigation will now take place to establish the facts surrounding the death.”
