BORIS Becker’s may be unable to sell his £9.4million abandoned’ Majorcan mansion after squatters currently living there have vowed to stay put.

Since May 2018, the property has been taken over by German Georg Berres, who has said he will stay in the mansion for a further ten years and turn it into a Peter-Pan-Style Neverland.

In its current state, the property looks nothing like the glamorous images on the website of the realtors Prestige Property Group, which are ten years old, according to Berres.

The mansion is said to have been ‘abandoned’ by the bankrupt tennis star last year before the squatter claims he moved in to save the decaying building.

He said: ‘They still want to sell this, the price is over 10 million Euros, this is ridiculous, try to find anyone who wants to have it for a million, a cent, you won’t find anyone.

“We want to create a Neverland, like Peter Pan, another person who didn’t grow up, there’s no need, why should I? For us it’s a raw diamond.

“You can compare this to winning the lottery, this has been a lucky thing, but for someone buying it – a mess.”

Berres says that estate agents came to visit the property to take pictures and couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

He said: “We’ve had people at the gate introducing themselves as real estate agents wanting to take pictures. They get on the ground and say: “What the f**k happened here?”

“No one knew what it was like, as they have these ten-year-old perfect pictures, where it had a nice English lawn.”

MOROCCAN MANSION

The property’s present state makes a mockery of the realtor’s website descriptions and images.

It mentions nothing about the wretched state of the twelve bedrooms and bathrooms, gym, swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, and horse stables.

Instead it states: “The main residence is outstanding for its exotic pieces of furniture, originating from Morocco, India and other corners of the world.”

This is despite the fact that Berres says the previous squatters, headed up by an Italian called Pico, had looted all the expensive furniture and trashed the place.

The website goes onto say: ‘The Moroccan style pool house is next to the 30-metre swimming pool, and offers an ideal area for resting and relaxing. A sauna, a steam bath, a gymnasium and a changing room complete this splendid wellness area – an oasis of calm.’

The pool is now a green and brown sludge but the 45-year-old says he trying to maintain it using electricity run on two tiny solar panels.

He says the wellness centre was ruined by the previous squatters, with the steam room’s tiles smashed to smithereens and expensive chandeliers left shattered on the floor.

The tennis court is said to have the same surface as the one used in the Australian Open but in reality, the court is full of weeds and cracks, the net is threadbare.

Although this hasn’t stopped Berres and friends from playing daily ‘Bimbledon’, as he calls it in honour of Boris, with ancient 90s style racquets.

‘INTERGALTIC HEALTH AND RESCUE TEAM’

Berres hit the headlines last year when he and his followers, called the ‘Intergalactic Health and Rescue Team’, took over the estate, which had fallen into disrepair after Becker was made bankrupt owing tens of millions.

Now Berres has plans to live at the Finca for up to ten years and is starting to host dance parties and yoga retreats.

He said: “For me, this is a five to ten-year plan. I’m 45 years old. There’s no problem to imagine being here another ten years to make it flourish and blossom.

“We want to create a Neverland, like Peter Pan. This whole area, including the pool bit, is going to be Neverland.

Berres says the last year has been a ‘poisoned chalice’ as he’s had to face other squatters trying to move in on the property, with it nearly coming to blows.

He said: “We had such big publicity from this place, they just sneaked in. We now know how to deal with them, get rid of them. They say they come in peace and then break it into pieces.”

Berres even looks after Becker’s old horses and goats, which were cruelly dumped onto the estate by an angry gardener after not being paid.

He says: “We have three horses. They are from the gardener, who was owed money by Boris Becker, so he dumped the horses on the finca, he did this maybe over four years ago.

“He also dumped seven goats, which we gave to the people next door.”

According to German media, Becker told bankruptcy handlers in London that the villa was sold in July 2016, which Berres claims is now owned by two banks.

The 51-year old was made bankrupt in 2017 and ordered that his assets be disposed of to meet his debts, leading to speculation that he had squandered his personal fortune.

Berres says: “He’s probably not the brightest guy in the world, he’s a tennis player, he doesn’t need to be, he’s not a professor. He follows the same rules in a way as I do.

“He worked his a**e off to get where he was, I learned from him, it had an impact on my life when he won Wimbledon and I watched it as a child on the TV and he beat Lendl’s arse, especially when my father said to me: “See what you can do in life.”

“am not ashamed that we took his name to publicise our vision. I guess I can live with that.”

Management of the tennis star was approached by the Sun Online but refused to comment.
