THE Apprentice has been engulfed in a fresh race row after another ethnic minority contestant was fired.
Venezuelan-born Jemelin Artigas was shown the door by Lord Sugar in tonight’s episode.
The network marketing consultant became the sixth non-white out of the seven candidates to be sacked.
And, after fans branded the BBC1 show racist, Jemelin, 34, conceded it could be interpreted that way.
She told The Sun: “I would probably say the same if I was an outsider watching this show.
“I do understand where people are coming from.”
Jemelin was fired after being criticised by Lord Sugar for failing to mention Finland in an advert meant to attract tourists to the country.
She joins other ethnic candidates such as Tanzanian Kenna Ngoma, 24, 20-year-old Souleyman Bah, who insisted he experienced racism on the show, and Iasha Masood, 27, to have left the process.
Jemelin defended Lord Sugar, 72, saying: “I don’t think he’s a racist and I don’t think the show is racist either.
“But then again why are we focusing on this? Why aren’t we focusing on the candidates?

“This is what really makes me upset.
“Some of them, I do believe they were meant to be fired, some of them I don’t — but, again, that’s all down to your own personal judgment.”
The 15th series has been dogged by race controversies such as Lottie Lion, 19, telling rival Lubna Farhan, 33, “Shut up, Gandhi”, in a WhatsApp chat.
