THE family of a 13-year-old schoolgirl who was slashed by machete-wielding thugs have said that they know who was behind the evil attack.
The girl was last night in a critical but stable condition in hospital after suffering a horror knife slash across her back.
The chaotic attack was carried out at the house of bare knuckle boxer Gramsey Joyce in Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh, on Saturday night.
According to RTE, the innocent family have said that they believe the yobs are from the Republic.
The vile brutes burst into the property at Trasna Way at around 9.15pm and mercilessly attacked Gramsey’s wife Lizzy and a 13-year-old relative.
The teen was left with a gaping wound in her back after trying to fight off violent sword swings while holding a tiny tot in her arms.
Fortunately, 11-month-old baby John, who is Gramsey’s grandson, escaped the barbaric blitz unharmed.
Lizzy, 41, was also treated for stab wounds to her leg but has since been discharged from hospital.
The 13-year-old girl was hailed as a hero for saving her 11-month-old nephew during the melee.
Lizzy said: “The baby was unharmed because his auntie is a hero.
“She’s 13-years-old and she threw her whole self over that baby, and she saved his life. She is a hero.”
She added: “It is something that we will never get over.”
Video footage shared online showed the young victim traumatised on the sitting room sofa holding towels to her front and back.
It goes on to reveal the massive gaping wound across half her back.
Gramsey’s son Christopher Patrick Joyce, who is John’s father, calls out the vile perpetrators of the vicious attack throughout the video.
‘COULDN’T DO IT TO THE MEN’
He rages: “You knew the men weren’t here — you watched the men go off.
“You came in atop of that little girl. She was holding my little John in her arms, 11 months old, and you try to hit my little child with the machete, whoever it was.
“She saved my little child. And look what you done — are you proud of that.”
He continues: “You are a disgrace. You couldn’t do it to the men. You couldn’t do it to the men.
“I hope your proud what you did to the girl, a little child.”
DISTURBING FOOTAGE
In a separate chilling video recorded by the attackers, the machete-armed men are shown silently approaching the house under the cover of darkness.
The silence is suddenly broken by wailing screams as the psychotic thugs burst into the house and unleash a wild frenzy of sword swings.
One thug can be seen taking a number of ferocious swings at the victim as she sits on the couch holding the young baby.
The disturbing footage goes on to show another one of the brutes landing a fierce blow to the head of a woman, which sends her falling backwards into the wall.
Following the heinous and barbaric attack, the savages then flee the house and scarper down the street.
Christopher then took to social media to vent his frustration at the attack, branding those responsible as “vermin” and “cowards”.
The evil ambush is being treated as attempted murder by local cops in Enniskillen, who have several lines of enquiry.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Keith Monaghan said: “Police received a report at around 9.15pm that a number of males, armed with machetes, had forced entry to a house and attacked two female occupants.

“A 13-year-old girl sustained serious stab wounds as a result and was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
“A 41-year-old woman was also treated for stab wounds to her leg but has since been discharged from hospital.
“A baby was also present at the scene but was thankfully unharmed.”
