DEAR DEIDRE: MY fiancé and his best man snogged during his stag weekend. He was so touchy about me having seen the video it’s left me feeling anxious.
We have always been very happy together, have a very active sex life and I had no worries about our relationship until now. I’m 26 and my fiancé is 29.

We’re getting married in the New Year but we decided to have my hen night and his stag do early because of Christmas.
I’m expecting our first child in the spring so I didn’t go for anything too wild. My bridesmaids and I went to a spa and then had a karaoke evening.
But my fiancé wanted to do something special. His best man – who is very wealthy and who he has known since school — paid for six of them to go to Las Vegas.
My fiancé and I have always been very open with our phones. When he got back from the trip he was showing me some of the photos and videos from it. Most were very funny, then one came on of my fiancé and the best man snogging.

My fiancé does maybe look a bit trapped but the best man is definitely going for a full-on snog, though he’s not gay as far as I am aware.
He’s a bit of a playboy and has been engaged twice and has a son by yet another girl.
If my fiancé had just laughed it off I might have thought no more of it but he shouted at me for “going through his phone”.
Now I’m wondering about everything. My fiancé and his best man shared a bedroom on the trip.

He told me they had booked twin beds but arrived to find the beds pushed together and made up as a double.
He said it was so late at night they couldn’t be bothered to have it changed but now I’m wondering.
The best man is staying at our house with my fiancé the night before the wedding while I stay at the hotel where the wedding will be held.
Now I will be wondering what they will be getting up to, especially if they’ve been drinking.

DEIDRE SAYS: Maybe the best man has a gay streak in his sexual make-up but, even if he is bisexual, it doesn’t sound as though you need worry about your fiancé’s loyalty.
Simple embarrassment at how awkward he felt when his friend kissed him could have made him touchy when you came across the video.
I doubt he would have told you about the beds mix-up if anything had happened between them.
But maybe suggest your fiancé takes care not to drink too much the night before the wedding. Why ruin such a special day with a hangover?
