THE Criminal Assets bureau has seized a luxury car and a rolex today as part of a probe into organised crime.
The raids – which were carried out across Limerick, Cork, and Waterford – were conducted with the help of the Garda Armed Support Unit in Limerick.


Four homes, one business as well as an accountants, architects and motor dealership were targeted in the operation.
CAB said they seized a Rolex watch and a 181 registered Audi – as well as storage devices paperwork and financial documents.
An Garda Siochana said in a statement: “Today, Thursday the 17th of October 2019, as a result of ongoing investigations and information developed from local Divisional Criminal Assets profiler, the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) with the assistance of the Garda Armed Support Unit (Limerick Division) conducted a search operation targeting the assets and activities of an individual involved in the provision of building services and unlicensed security services to the construction industry.
“A total of nine searches were conducted across counties Limerick, Cork and Waterford. The searches included four residential premises, one business premises and three professional premises (Accountants, Architects and a Motor Dealership).
“Today’s searches were conducted under CAB Warrant, Section 14 of the Criminal Assets Bureau Act, 1996 as amended.
“The following assets were seized; Rolex watch, Electronic storage devices, Paperwork and involves relating to business, Financial documents and a 181 registered Audi Q7 SUV.”

Last month CAB seized two luxurious cars as part of their ongoing probes.
The raids – carried out in South Dublin – were conducted with the help of the Emergency Response Unit and Customs Dog Unit.
CAB said they seized an Audi Q5 SUV along with a Toyota Hilux Crew.
